"The character requires a considerable feat of memory and stamina, being alone on stage for the best part of two hours. To hold and entertain the audience for that length of time is a remarkable feat. Dorothy Lawrence does just that, with an accent as authentic as a Mersey mist and a constant spunky sparkle" - SHIRLEY VALENTINE, Eye Theatre.
Diss Express
"A blistering two-hander...Dorothy Lawrence as Anna - last seen at Eye as Shirley Valentine - and Australian newcomer Elisa Maree Williams provide one of the most memorable hours of theatre in the decade I have had the privilege of reviewing plays at this very special venue... Thoughtful, determined, controlled, Anna is superbly played by Lawrence. The two women work magnificently together under Tom Scott’s inspired and sensitive direction." LOVE CHILD, by Joanna Murray Smith, Eye Theatre.

"Dorothy Lawrence as Clarissa Gripe personifies the footballer’s wife of the early 1700s" - THE CITY WIVES CONFEDERACY by Vanbrugh, Greenwich Theatre.
British Theatre Journal
"The small cast - it is essentially a three hander, with one silent fourth player - handle their roles with real grace, especially Dorothy Lawrence as the girl's mother." FROZEN, By Bryony Lavery, Riverside Studios and York Theatre Royal.
